TAConnect Joins National Stakeholders at the Nigeria Supply Chain Summit 2026

TAConnect participated in the 2026 Nigeria Supply Chain Summit, held on 12–13 May 2026 at the Balmoral Event Centre, Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos State, joining senior government officials, pharmaceutical manufacturers, regulators, financial institutions, development partners, and supply chain experts from across Nigeria.

Convened under the theme “From Policy to Practice: Nigeria’s Group Purchasing Framework (GPF) as a Model for Supply Chain Market Shaping and Health Systems Transformation,” the summit showcased progress in pooled procurement and the potential of the GPF, a pioneering initiative that addresses fragmented pharmaceutical procurement by aggregating demand across participating State Drug Management Agencies (DMAs). Through improved coordination, transparent governance, digital innovation, and partnerships with local manufacturers, the framework aims to enhance medicine availability, affordability, and quality nationwide.

Over two days, keynote sessions, panels, and exhibitions explored the GPF’s three pillars – governance, financing, and technology, with discussions emphasising political commitment, stakeholder trust, supply chain financing, and public-private collaboration. A recurring theme was the need to move beyond fragmented procurement toward coordinated market planning that creates value for governments, suppliers, and end users alike. The summit closed with shared commitments to expand GPF participation, strengthen accountability, scale digital innovations, and advance sustainable financing solutions.

For TAConnect, the engagement offered a valuable opportunity to connect with key actors driving health systems reform and to deepen its understanding of pharmaceutical market shaping in Nigeria, insights that will inform its continued work toward more efficient, transparent, and resilient healthcare delivery nationwide.
