TAConnect joined the global community in commemorating International Women’s Day 2026, celebrating the remarkable contributions of women while reaffirming our institutional commitment to equity, inclusion, and empowerment as critical drivers of sustainable development.
Aligned with one of the year’s themes, “Give to Gain,” the commemoration provided a reflective and action-oriented platform for staff to examine the transformative impact of investing in women, both within the workplace and across the communities we serve. The event reinforced a core principle that underpins TAConnect’s work: that inclusive systems and empowered individuals are essential to achieving resilient health and development outcomes.
A key highlight of the event was the screening of a film – Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C. J. Walker, a compelling portrayal of female resilience, entrepreneurship, and leadership. The film catalyzed rich conversations among staff, sparking critical reflections on gender equity, leadership pathways, and the importance of creating enabling environments where women can thrive and lead.

These discussions were further deepened through a facilitated dialogue session, where team members explored practical ways to embed inclusivity and equity into TAConnect’s organizational culture and programming. The interactive “Give to Gain” provided a space for staff to articulate personal and collective commitments, ranging from mentoring emerging female leaders to fostering more inclusive decision-making processes and strengthening collaboration across teams.

The commemoration not only celebrated achievements but also reinforced TAConnect’s ongoing efforts to integrate gender-responsive approaches into its work, particularly in health systems strengthening and community engagement initiatives. By prioritizing equity and inclusion, TAConnect continues to contribute to building systems that are more responsive, more resilient, and better positioned to deliver impact at scale.

At TAConnect, we recognize that investing in people is fundamental to achieving lasting change. When we champion equity, support one another, and create opportunities for all voices to be heard, we lay the foundation for stronger institutions and healthier communities.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to fostering an environment where everyone has the opportunity to contribute, grow, and lead.
