TAConnect Executive Director Honoured by MWAN for Advancing Women and Children’s Health in South-East Nigeria

TAConnect is delighted to share that its Executive Director, Dr. Lilian Anomnachi, was presented with a Special Recognition Award by the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Imo State Chapter, in recognition of her outstanding leadership, humanitarian service, and sustained contributions to programmes that promote the health and well-being of women and children in Nigeria.
The award was formally presented during the Investiture Ceremony of 14th President of MWAN, Imo State, on Saturday, 31 January 2026, at the Grand Amari Resort in Owerri.
According to the award citation, Dr. Anomnachi was honoured for her unwavering support for humanitarian causes and her strategic leadership in advancing interventions that strengthen access to quality healthcare for women and children. Through her role at TAConnect, she has championed coordinated technical assistance, institutional strengthening, and partnership-driven approaches that support state governments in improving primary healthcare systems and service delivery.

Under her leadership, TAConnect has continued to work closely with government institutions, development partners, and communities to translate evidence-based strategies into practical solutions that improve health outcomes and build resilient health systems. This recognition by MWAN reflects the broader impact of these efforts at both community and sub-national levels.
For TAConnect, the honour underscores the importance of values-driven leadership and collaboration in achieving sustainable health outcomes. It also reinforces the organisation’s commitment to initiatives that place women, children, and families at the centre of health systems strengthening.
TAConnect congratulates Dr. Lilian Anomnachi on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates the collective efforts of partners and stakeholders who continue to work together to improve the health and well-being of communities across Nigeria.
