The third quarter of 2024 marks a defining moment in TAConnect’s institutional journey. This edition highlights our strategic evolution toward a hybrid operational model that integrates both technical assistance and direct service delivery. This transition reflects our commitment to deepening impact, accelerating innovation uptake, and directly addressing persistent gaps in maternal and newborn health (MNH) service delivery across Nigeria.
Driven by lessons from implementation and the urgent need to improve MNH outcomes, this shift positions TAConnect to combine strategic advisory support with targeted, field-level interventions. By aligning oversight, systems strengthening, and implementation, we are strengthening our ability to deliver sustainable, measurable results in line with national health priorities.
This quarter also captures our support to the Federal Ministry of Health in finalizing the 2025–2026 operational plan for improving maternal and child health quality of care, alongside our contributions to revising the national Life-Saving Skills training manual. In Kaduna State, we advanced high-level engagement through the launch of a new MNH initiative designed to accelerate the adoption of critical health innovations.
As we embrace this expanded role, TAConnect remains resolute in supporting the Government of Nigeria to reduce maternal and newborn mortality and improve health outcomes for vulnerable communities nationwide.
