This TAConnect Corporate Profile tells the story of who we are, how we work, and the impact we’ve delivered across Nigeria’s health sector. Since 2021, we have partnered with national and subnational governments to strengthen health systems and save lives, reaching over one million people across 19 states in five geopolitical zones through a dual model that combines strategic systems strengthening with direct service delivery.
The starting point for our work is a hard truth: every day, 225 Nigerian women die from preventable pregnancy and childbirth complications, in a health system where primary care facilities too often struggle with weak management, fragmented systems, and limited data for decision-making. Rather than impose solutions from the outside, we work alongside governments as true partners, defining problems together, co-creating answers, and building the capacity for change to last well beyond our direct involvement.
That approach is already producing results at scale. Through optimized postpartum haemorrhage prevention, more than 100,000 women have been protected from maternal death, with over 90% of at-risk women treated successfully, meaning tens of thousands who might have died from the leading direct cause of maternal death are alive, recovered, and caring for their families. Our flagship Group Antenatal Care model, the largest rollout of its kind globally, has enrolled over 1,041,000 pregnant women, with 93% delivering in facilities under skilled care. On the child health side, more than 64,000 children have been reached with vaccination services, and 807 primary health care facilities have been strengthened across seven management domains, driving a 65% improvement in facility performance.
Behind those numbers is a deliberate design for sustainability. We have trained over 7,353 community volunteers to deliver care and mobilize demand, mobilized state government counterpart funding as proof of genuine ownership, and seen seven states adopt Group Antenatal Care into their official guidelines. Our leadership team brings over 20 years of health program expertise and a track record of mobilizing $600 million in development funding across Sub-Saharan Africa, expertise we extend to donors through professional subaward and grant management, coordinating a network of qualified implementing partners toward shared health goals.
