The first quarter of 2023 marked the release of the maiden edition of The Spotlight, TAConnect’s quarterly newsletter chronicling our journey in strengthening primary healthcare (PHC) systems across Nigeria. Established by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, TAConnect was created as an innovative technical assistance platform to deliver tailored, cohesive support to states, improving PHC performance and increasing uptake of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH+N) services.
Working across the 10 Gates Foundation priority states, TAConnect deploys need-based technical expertise to build resilient and high-performing health systems. Our model enables states and funders to collaboratively define priorities, identify context-specific solutions, and deploy the right skills to strengthen the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of service delivery.
This maiden edition highlights key milestones, including our official launch and unveiling, peer learning engagements, end-of-project dissemination activities, and other strategic deployments that shaped our early impact. We are grateful to our donors, technical assistance partners, and state governments whose collaboration continues to drive sustainable improvements in Nigeria’s healthcare landscape
