- Background
Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH) remains the leading direct cause of maternal mortality in Nigeria, accounting for nearly one-quarter (23-25%) of all maternal deaths. Despite increased facility deliveries and introduction of evidence-based interventions, many facilities still lack capacity for early detection and timely management of PPH.
Programme Overview
TAConnect is driving innovative, evidence-based maternal and newborn health solutions across seven states at both Primary and Secondary levels of care, supporting improvement of MNH outcomes through adoption and scale of MNH innovations (G-ANC, MMS, PPH bundle and Maternal Azithromycin) along the continuum of care.
