TAConnect, in collaboration with the Kano State Ministry of Health and the Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board (KNSPHCMB), with support from The Pfizer Foundation, successfully conducted a one-day orientation for health facility vaccination teams and Local Government Area (LGA) Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) officers on February 3, 2025.
The training focused on integrating Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health + Nutrition (RMNCH+N) wrap-around services into the ongoing vaccination project in zero-dose LGAs across Kano State. This initiative builds on TAConnect’s success in the Accelerating Vaccination Uptake in Children Under Two Years project, implemented under the Global Health Innovations Grant (GHIG 8).

By equipping health workers with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide counseling and essential maternal and child health services alongside immunization efforts, TAConnect is strengthening primary healthcare systems and improving health outcomes for mothers and children in Kano State.
