TAConnect hosted the Safe Motherhood branch of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare on February 5, 2025, to strengthen collaboration on maternal and newborn health interventions. The discussions focused on aligning efforts to reduce maternal mortality and enhance the implementation of high-impact initiatives that support national health goals.
The collaboration aims to accelerate the scale-up of maternal and newborn health (MNH) innovations, strengthen leadership and coordination, and improve oversight within the Safe Motherhood branch. Key areas of focus include addressing postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), preeclampsia, and eclampsia; enhancing antenatal care (ANC) services; standardizing obstetric care protocols; and fostering a policy environment that supports evidence-based maternal health interventions.

By leveraging strategic partnerships and innovative approaches, TAConnect is reinforcing its commitment to improving maternal and newborn health outcomes in Nigeria. This partnership marks a significant step toward ensuring safer pregnancies, reducing preventable maternal deaths, and strengthening healthcare systems to provide better services for mothers and newborns nationwide.
