TAConnect Recognized for Advancing Primary Healthcare in Yobe State

TAConnect has been recognized for its contributions to strengthening primary healthcare (PHC) service delivery in Yobe State. The recognition was presented during a Merit Award Ceremony held on February 5, 2025, at the Summit Conference Hall in Damaturu, celebrating individuals and organizations committed to improving healthcare delivery across Yobe’s 178 wards and 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs). 

The award acknowledges TAConnect’s efforts in driving improvements in maternal and neonatal health outcomes and advancing quality healthcare services. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Hon. Sanda Karabade, Chairman of the House Committee on PHC, YSCHMA, and YODMA; Alhaji Isa Bukar, Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Ministry of Health and Human Services; and Hon. Musa Gamcho Tela, Special Adviser to the Governor on Health. 

Receiving the award on behalf of TAConnect’s Executive Director, Dr. Lillian Anomnachi, Miss Hauwa Muhammad Gwio expressed gratitude to the Yobe State Primary Healthcare Board and reaffirmed TAConnect’s unwavering dedication to improving healthcare delivery across the state. 

TAConnect is currently implementing the Accelerating Expanded Adoption of RMNCHN Innovations and Health Reforms project in Yobe State, further demonstrating its dedication to scalable and impactful healthcare interventions. 

This recognition highlights TAConnect’s ongoing efforts to strengthen PHC systems and drive lasting improvements in maternal, newborn, and child health across the state.
